CAN STUDENT DO ‘CUSTOM EDITING’ BY OWN?

What is it? Is it just re-checking your paper once again to find out silly mistakes and improve that accordingly? Then why are you looking for a service? Wait! Don’t go for that word ‘Custom Editing. It is nothing but kind of proof reading your paper, point out your mistakes and improve your paper according to academic guidelines. Editing is not always related to Press and Newspapers and it not just means only deleting extra and non-useful words. We have a conventional idea about editing that is to change entire concept written by writer to reform it into editor’s conception. But it is wrong. Editing always follows some principles like ethical writing, removing unnecessary words, rechecking punctuation, grammars and ultimately establish institutional belief in that article. Here ‘Custom Editing’ means conventional form of editing that is too easy for students and they can do it on their own if they follow some certain principles. Some guidelines we are giving below for custom editing that hope will be helpful for students. Please follow our guidelines;

Look at structure: It is like skeleton of your paper. If your structure or draft is approved by your supervisor, then go for a good sleep at night. Because your 60% of assignment is done. Rest is only filling up the structure with relevant points that is too much easy for you. It is like rough sketch of drawing. If we approve our rough sketch then we give our final touch on it for presentation. Right? So, be careful about preparing your assignment or report structure. In case of research paper, I will advice you to definitely approve your research draft by your instructor otherwise, it will be painful for you in upcoming days. If your structure is ok, then 80% of editing is done. So be careful while you are preparing your assignment structure. Remember, your base must be solid; rest is covering and painting on the skeleton.

Punctuation: Yes, it is basic rule for custom editing. Your sentence may not be too long and obviously too short. Construct your sentence for academic writing between 15-20 words. Use of too long sentence can deconstruct reader’s mind therefore, sometime understanding key points of your analysis seem difficult.

Basic Grammar: There is no option in getting relief from grammar. Basic grammar of your paper must and must be correct. Sometime, students with weak grammar sense have used mixed tenses in their writing. It is too pathetic to read and understand for readers. So, be careful about your grammatical issues. Now, many grammars checking software’s are available on the internet, but those might not be helpful until or unless you have a basic idea about construct sentences and used tenses. So, use short sentences that will more or less help you to reduce your grammatical mistakes and proof read properly.

Citation format: Citation is too much important in academic writing. Writers use it for proving authentication of their paper. Various kinds of citations style and formats are there but in your assignment, you need to use proper format of your instructed citation. Otherwise, your paper will loose its authentication value. It happens for most of the students that they get fewer marks for improper citations and incorrect format though their grammar, punctuation and others basic parameters of writing academic paper is correct. So, please take it seriously while you are assigned yourself for custom editing of your assignment.

Graphical presentation: Graphical presentation is visual literacy. Sometime, pictures tell us the entire story that seems difficult to understand through writing. Without having any picture, it looks too boring to read a fat book. Therefore, use some relevant, graphs, pictures or images in your assignment or academic paper to make it interesting and dynamic to your readers. Don’t use unnecessary images but relevant graphs, statistical data you can put to increase authenticity of your paper.

Headings and Sub points: Make sure, your paper has some relevant heading and sub headings. It is too tough and irritating for us to read long paragraphs. For readers, it seems very hard to understand the actual intention of writer. So, if we use some relevant headings and subheadings in our academic paper especially for dissertation, it will be interesting and more acceptable for readers.

Pictorial TOC: TOC or table of content will be short reflection of your entire assignment. It will be like a trailer of your assignment or dissertation. So if you want to make it nicely, then use some relevant headings and subheadings and put it under table of content to prepare a short glance trailer of your assignment. For dissertation or research paper, preparing good table of content will help you in getting good marks, as your instructor is well-known about your all relevant points from your TOC.

Theoretical application: No, readers don’t want to know the theory but only its application. Most of the students have made mistake in this section. They all are written about the used theory and its problems. But it is easily available. Readers want to know about your views about that theory. So, your theoretical application is must in your paper otherwise, your all hard work will be in vain.

Comparison: Along with all relevant information, correct grammar, images, and punctuation, you must have to apply your critical notion in your paper. For this, use theoretical comparison to show your critical analysis. Raising arguments will help you in developing your in-depth analysis in the academic paper.

Re-reading: Once, complete all the entire process, just re-read your paper for just once again. Result??? Your silly mistakes, more improvements, developed analytical technique will be reflected through your re-reading that will make your assignment best creation of yours.

So, leave your all anxieties and start writing your assignment. Work as bets as you can. Our custom editing guidelines will help you in getting good marks in your assignment.

‘LAW’- NOTHING BUT PLAYING WITH LEGAL RULES

Ohh no!!! Laww…

Exactly this feeling or kind of sigh we always have whenever we heard about the quoted word ‘LAW’. Why? Yes, because we are all peaceful people. We don’t ever want to visit courtroom or any kind of judicial proceedings as these all are hectic procedures. But, we love to see court cases in our favourite TV shows, films and other media options.  Especially we love to see the controversy between two opponent lawyers in courtroom. Right??? We not even slept a night if the victim does not get proper judgement. If we love controversies, judgement, then why we have nightmare regarding doing a law project. Two different opinions will be raised-

First, it is very hectic and analytical project to do

Second, lots of studies needed to do a law job

According to my view point, both opinions are valid. Law project is neither writing a management assignment but also nor doing a research paper.  For our normal assignments or reports, we usually relate our questions with given case study and suitable theories and modules. On the other side, research paper or dissertation requires in-depth investigation to find out the actual truth. Assignment requires more information about mentioned case study but for dissertation, personal opinion and critical analysis is more important. Law project is the mixed version of these both services. You need to do lot of research along with your analysis and arguments to reach the conclusion.

Yes, it is the vital part of doing a law project i.e. drawing its conclusion. You can’t able to do it swiftly because wrong conclusion can spoil life of your client or the victim. So, you always needed to be cautious about all clause and remedies of your national law. After you understand the main clause and remedies of your selected law, it is too easy to write down your paper.  For example, if you are dealing with Contract and Negligence Act of UK law, then certain remedies and clauses of this act you must have to know. Otherwise, you can’t able to give any advice or solution to your client. Some basic instruction therefore, we are providing here to work on your law project. Don’t worry; these instructions will help you to make your project more easily without having any a headache.

Find out the issue: This is the first step to proceed in your law project. Finding the issue is bit tough because your given case scenario includes lots of ambiguities. So, first understand the main motive of your case study. It will help you to find out your law issue to deal with it.

Set your legal rule: Your legal rules must be relevant according to your selected issue. Keep in mind, many remedies and clauses you can find in your legal rules but you need to select the appropriate one to justify your issue.

Express your analysis with critical arguments: Your analysis will support your chosen legal rule. Not only that but your analytical expression also be formulated to close all related controversies of your chosen issue.

Draw suitable conclusion: This section will contain your advice or solution for your client. Make sure, your concluding statement carries all responses and valid answers for your opponent’s questions.

Last, make you’re writing a bit professional. Referenced it properly and check your formatting and structure before submitting your final project. Be careful about plagiarism and proof read your paper properly.

CONFUSED BETWEEN ‘THESIS STATEMENT’ AND ‘RESEARCH QUESTION’???

We all are quite familiar with the word ‘thesis statement’ in our class lectures. Our lecturer always asks for clear thesis statement as because it contains the central idea of our topic. In case of essay or report, thesis statement states about the central idea of the topic. Apart from the definition, have you ever asked yourself why are we looking for a relevant thesis statement in our introductory paragraph??!!  Answer may be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ but as per my opinion, thesis statement is the key parameter to understand and judge the relevance of the subject.

How???

Whenever you are going to write your thesis statement, a rational notion always projected through your writing. Just go back to your paper and look carefully!! your last paragraph of essay or report is bit argumentative. Is not it??? It means you need to inform your readers about the significance of your subject. The main debate of your subject projects in your thesis statement. That’s why our lecturer or professor always ask us to write down it at the end of the introductory paragraph that readers can get understand about its central idea and critical point of analysis.

Don’t get confused between thesis statement and research question? Let me explain you these both clearly. Look, thesis statement is your opinion; your analysis, explanation while a research question is always open-ended. It seeks for investigation, market research. Whenever you are going to form your thesis statement, you have investigated its past; your analysis was made on your existing literature. On the other side, research question is formed based on the issue for which you need to investigate or conduct your research.

For example, ‘Decreasing Index of Consumer Sentiment (ICS) after Global Crisis period’ is the current market issue. If you have asked to prepare thesis statement on this topic, your analysis will be argumentative. Your argument will support by various scholarly articles, your investigations, debates and always your personal outlook. On the other hand, your research question will form to understand the reason between decreasing ICS and global crisis period. Research question will always develop to answer the question ‘WHY’. In simple, research question is previous method to investigate the issue while thesis statement is the result to support your argument.

Below we are providing some guidelines that you should follow while writing your thesis statement-

  • Don’t write down your statement in beginning of introduction
  • Avoid long sentences and conjunctions
  • Be specific and clear
  • Avoid academic fillers in your thesis statement i.e. ‘in my point of view’, ‘as per analysing the entire essay’…
  • Make your statement a bit argumentative
  • Project your personal opinion through your statement

Keep in mind, a well-written thesis statement is the replica of your critical reflection, analytical viewpoint, intelligence to the readers. So make your thesis statement insightful to create distinctive impression on your readers.
